Outdoor Backyard Chic Wedding in Upstate New York
With a nod to Tuscany, this outdoor backyard chic wedding in Rochester, New York is the stuff dreams are made of. Upstate New York wedding vendors came alongside planner, Honey Dew Events to create this family-style atmosphere that transported their guests to the rolling hills and winding roads of Tuscany. We are in absolute awe of all the pops of color from the bright dahlias and poppies to the splash of citrus on the cake. We still can’t believe this is a backyard wedding! As if Alexandra Meseke Photography knows the way to our heart, she beautifully captured each detail that we instantly pinned to our wedding board!
From the planner, Honey Dew Events: Alexandra Meseke Photography envisioned an intimate wedding in her backyard, but it’s no ordinary backyard. The neighbor’s home is tucked within a historic neighborhood in Rochester, NY owned by a pair who spent their lives working in landscape and design. The bright stone was imported from Europe and is the focal point of their magical winding landscape.
Stone Fruit took the bright backyard tuscan romance inspiration and ran with it. The collection included custom watercolor scenes, and soft fabric accents.
Alexandra Meseke Photography and Angela with Honey Dew Events worked together to create a couture design concept with a nod to the existing Tuscan influences. The goal was to create movement and interaction to showcase a family-style atmosphere. In order to create an interactive experience, we focused on elements that would allow for the guests to engage with each other, as well as with the décor. To achieve this, we focused on a grazing table instead of a traditional tablescape. It created a beautiful first dance backdrop, a treat for guests, and ultimately, a natural feeling. In addition to adding extras as guests, our bride and groom have been married for two years, so their romantic chemistry made for organic photos.
