Romantic New Orleans Wedding at The Chicory
Ok picture this: hanging beaded chandeliers with cascading blush and dusty pink roses with overflowing greenery. Well this wedding is quite literally teeming with lush textured florals by Bella Blooms Florals so now that vision has come to life and let me tell you, it’s even better than you imagined. The bride designed everything herself with the help of her florist and beautifully wove together each detail from her floral appliqué dress to the lily of the valleys in her bouquet that were flown all the way from England. This New Orleans wedding bursting with lush florals has captured our hearts one photo at a time captured by Peony Photography.
From the photographer, Peony Photography: Kristin and Justin met while he was showing her an apartment in New Orleans to rent a couple years ago and the rest is history. We met Kristin while we were photographing a bridal show and connected instantly as soon as we heard all about her vision! It rained on her wedding day so instead of a rooftop ceremony, she created the most romantic indoor ceremony space! She was inspired by textured florals and candlelit ambiance. This wedding serves as a great inspiration for brides without the natural light options of outdoor ceremonies. We truly think Kristin did the indoor, night time wedding thing right! From her floral appliqué dress to roses on the walls and ceilings, she covered every detail! Kristin brought this vision to life without a designer and her florist definitely delivered! We especially love the modern acrylic touches around the venue that she added in!
My bride adds that the flowers were the most important part of the planning process (especially the lily of the valleys in her main bouquet and Justin’s boutonnieres) because they reminded her of her childhood growing up in England where they had flowers everywhere. Justin flew in Lily of the Valleys to put in his very first bouquet gift to Kristin. They died upon arrival in his first bouquet so Kristin was so happy that they stayed fresh on her wedding day!
