Jane Austen Inspired Wedding With Regency Era Charm
The quick wit and robin’s egg blue charm of this delightfully Jane Austen inspired wedding has us completely unable to bottle our favor any longer. And why should we? The elegant blooms in fifty shades of cream from Poppy Lane Design are beguiling as can be, the golf foil calligraphy dancing across the paperie couldn’t make us pause to reflect any more and the vintage china + lace bedecked place settings dreamed up by Blue Chalk Events have us feeling wedding day fancy in a way that only stories like Emma can. We’re practically begging for more. But for now, this pastel-infused sprinkle of Jane Austen inspired wedding magic from Emily Nicole Photo will have to do! So take this as your official invitation to gush over the Regency era wedding fashion + designs all day long. We’ll be sitting right beside you, doing exactly the same thing.
From the Photographer, Emily Nicole Photo: This shoot was inspired by the timeless romance and a well-loved novel Emma by Jane Austen. Traditional and classic juxtaposed with bold bright colors bring the feel of Emma with a modern twist.
The bride is wearing an elegant Monique Lhuillier gown with romantic puff sleeves and long lace train from JJ Kelly Bridal. Hayley Hall Hair and Carolyn F Beauty chose a natural beauty with old world glamour look photographed by Emily Nicole Photo.
Courtney Cooper of Courtney Kibby Designs had the dream of creating an ode to Jane Austen’s Emma. In addition to Live Painting, she painted custom flatly backdrops that beautifully tied all the details together.
“If I loved you less, I might be able to talk about it more.” ? Jane Austen, Emma
Brandy Wheatley of Blue Chalk Events brought literature and dreams into the real world with her eye for lasting beauty and attention to detail. Wheatley combined luxurious textures with vintage touches to create a remarkable retelling of the story in a new and unconventional way. The chic table linen and napkins by Nuage Designs were paired with vintage dishes, a set of dishes from the live wedding painter’s grandmother.
The Bradford House’a traditional and classic architecture paired with the bright colors and captivating romantic accents yield a truly unique look. Poppy Lane Design made 18th century and modern elegance come together with her floral designs. Flowy and full of life, these florals added timeless beauty to Bradford House.
Melinda Rae Designs created a custom invitation suite. Everything in the suite is organic, hand painted and calligraphed on handmade paper, hand marbled paper, hand embroidered, using hand dyed and torn silk velvet ribbon. The wax seals are by Katrina Crouch Art for Artissaire, the handmade paper from Fabulous Fancy Pants, the marbled paper from Marbled Paper Studio, and ribbon from Lab of Shades.
“You must be the best judge of your own happiness.” — Jane Austen, Emma
There’s just something about the Regency area that captures the grandmillenial wedding vibe at it’s core. We can’t help but remember Brittany & Ethan’s summer garden nuptials as we soak up all the vintage china and delicate lace details in this Jane Austen inspired wedding shoot! If you missed it last time, catch it here next!
