From the bride, Carolin: Andrés and I could not have been any happier with our vendors, especially with Claire Duran Weddings & Events & Asia Pimentel Photography . With me being from the Dominican Republic and my husband being from Colombia, we wanted our wedding to be in a location that had special meaning to both our origins and lifestyle but we also wanted an expert team of vendors that were full of personality and who had appreciation of our cultures. We definitely got that (and more!) with Claire and Asia. I was incredibly impressed at how comfortable they were working off each other, and how their styles complimented each other very seamlessly.
Besides our vows, one of my favorite moments from our wedding — and one I’ll never forget — was our first look. He was looking at me lovingly and tearfully, as if I was the most beautiful woman he had ever seen. And I was crying, rushing down the stairs, reaching for his kiss and for my soon-to-be husband’s hands. It was in that moment that I had completely forgotten how to be graceful and that pictures were being taken. It didn’t matter; Asia and her team captured the moment beautifully and it’s a memory that we’ll cherish forever.
The best part of our reception was having the ‘hora loca’ performers. It was a surprise for our guests and their energy kept everyone on the dance floor the entire night. Seeing our guests gather from the U.S., the D.R., Colombia all gather on the dance floor and party hard as one family was surreal. I barely made it to my open bar because I was on the dance floor most of the night!
We were also blessed with the most gorgeous blue skies on our wedding day and breeze that was just right. Our mothers’ prayers must have worked because we could not ask for a more beautiful, more perfect day!
