Two-Day Destination Wedding Celebration in Portugal
If you’re going to have a destination wedding, why not make a weekend out of it? Nazli and Onur made their way from Turkey to Portugal for the ultimate celebration, partying the nights away with a boho rehearsal dinner on day one and a romantic ceremony and reception on day two, both carefully designed by Como Branco. Thank you to Adriana Morais – Fotografia for capturing it all!
From the photographer, Adriana Morais: Nazli and Onur made a memorable destination wedding in Portugal. They came from the other side of continent! The party started the day before of the wedding, when they had an intimate dinner for close friends and family. This party was in one of the most special venues I’ve ever been, the Hotel Areias do Seixo. This first party was done in Boho style. The guests ate some snacks by the fireplace, creating an union of the Boho with a Gypsy touch. Later they had diner in a greenhouse surrounded by nature. The dinner was accompanied with Fado (nostalgic Portuguese music). The next day the preparation of both Nazli and Onur was done on the same hotel where they also had the first look. The symbolic ceremony was celebrated by the best man of the groom, in the middle of a landscape surrounded by vineyards in Quinta de Sant’Ana.
One of the most memorable moments came after the ceremony, when the Balkan-inspired band managed to get all the guests – from 8 to 80 years old – to dance. The wedding decoration was inspired by Portuguese tradition. There were table centers with grapes. It’s true! They looked like authentic Renaissance paintings of still life. The guests received several gifts of Portuguese inspiration. One of them were biscuits with the famous Portuguese tile. The bride and groom brought the DJ from Turkey and the party ended in great style. A perfect finale for an amazing wedding.
