Woodland Bohemian Wedding With A Crazy Cool Beer Stein Seating Chart
Can I get a witness? Today’s woodland bohemian wedding brought us to tears in an instant. The way Jen + Brendan met their planner, Jessica Hennessey Weddings, is just about the most inspiring story we’ve ever heard. I’ll give you a hint… one selfless act of kindness led to a life being saved. (Read on for the full story!) The couple’s Boston fete was teeming with all things beauty. A log arbor ceremony backdrop with fleurs from Beach Plum Floral, tall centerpieces of bright orange dahlias and pampas grass, blue toile napkins, woven chargers, rattan pendants… and don’t even get me started on the custom escort card display with beer steins that doubled as wedding favors! All the magic was captured by Rachel Buckley Photography, and we are so pumped for you to explore the full gallery of this woodland bohemian wedding below.
From the Planner, Jessica Hennessey Weddings: I met Jen + Brendan back in 2019 through one of my very best friends, (and super amazing hair stylist at The Bridal Bar) Christine. You see, the bride, Jen, is the most incredibly kind, amazing and selfless soul. She learned that Christine’s brother was in dire need of a kidney donor – and seeing him as a Dad, husband and brother – Jen wanted to see if she was a match and could be the one to give him more time here with us all.
Well, she was a match. And she went through the rigorous mental and physical tests and all the way to the finish line, donating her kidney to Christine’s brother and giving the greatest gift of selfless love – LIFE.
Standing by Christine’s side throughout this process, watching Jen become a living kidney donor – then finding out Jen was now engaged and her plans to get married at Hardy Farm in Fryeburg, Maine – I knew I had to step in and donate my services as a wedding planner + designer. I wanted to make this experience as stress-free and amazing as possible for this incredibly beautiful woman (and the man who stood by her side) that gave a piece of herself to Christine’s family and left a permanent mark on all of our hearts.”
From the Couple: It’s hard to put into words how special our wedding day was. Everything from the weather to the extraordinary florals came together to create a magical day. We were blessed to work with such a talented and dedicated team of vendors. Even when a global pandemic was thrown into the mix, our team handled it with grace and ease, ensuring our day was safe but still just as beautiful. We are so thankful for the expertise, talent, and creativity that our vendors brought to the table.
We’re all about personalized details! When we pitched the idea of having a mug club at our wedding (Brendan’s choice) to Jessica from Jessica Hennessey Weddings, it went from a vision in our heads to a 12ft long reality. Boston Backdrops exceeded our expectations and created a knockout wall to display our custom beer steins. Looking at the woodland ceremony site, Jen always imagined it full of flowers, a true boho dream. Beach Plum Floral was handed creative freedom for the entire wedding and together with Jessica Hennessey, made true magic happen. From the massive full floral ceremony pergola, to the centerpieces and sweetheart table, no detail was unaccounted for.
Christine from The Bridal Bar and Amanda Jean spent their mornings glamming the bride and bridesmaids. Having their calming presence was much needed as the nerves set in, all ladies felt beautiful and ready to go come ceremony time.
We were lucky to work with both Rachel Buckley Weddings and Latimer Studios to capture our day. With the pandemic we reduced our guest list by half and many of our original guests were unable to attend. Watching our wedding video and looking over our photos brings us back to each special moment. Those that were unable to attend had the opportunity to view our ceremony the very next day and were so happy to share in the moment.
Our wedding was beyond our wildest dreams. We wish we could live in that moment of time forever. To all of our vendors, thank you for making an enchanted, out of this world, day.
