After seeing Ashley and Will’s romantic Tenerife Sea wedding, we can understand why Ed Sheeran wrote a song about this picturesque spot. Sixty-five of these high schools sweethearts’ nearest and dearest traveled to the Canary Islands to celebrate with them in a joyful wedding with pastel blooms, watercolor brushtrokes and an ambient poolside dinner planned by Barefoot Bride. From the bride: We’ve known each other since we were 3 and ended up best friends through primary and high school before becoming girlfriend and boyfriend at the age of 15. Having grown up together, we really have the most amazing relationship, know each other inside out and love each other unconditionally. We both live in the UK, but Tenerife is a very special place for us. We’ve been coming here 2-3 times a year since we were 15, as my parents have a place in Costa Adeje. Lewis proposed on Del Duque Beach, so there was no hesitation on where we would celebrate our wedding day.

A wedding abroad is more stressful since you aren’t there all of the time, but definitely worth it. We had 65 guests who ended up having a holiday too. Overall, we enjoyed how each part of the day was somewhere different, but still close by.

From the photographer, Lilly Verhaegen: The wedding ceremony took place in one of the most romantic and scenic venues in the south of Tenerife with the spectacular ocean view. After the ceremony and greetings, couple enjoyed the cocktails, while chatting with their guests in the panoramic terrace. The dinner was set up by the pool under the open sky and the wedding party continued in the indoor hotel club.
