Bright Rustic Bohemian San Luis Obispo Wedding with Ferns and Greenery
Truly, there are weddings that will make one’s eyes pop out and this oh-so-bright rustic bohemian vineyard wedding comes first on the list. I mean… clear blue sky, vast green fields + winery, a Moscow mule in hand, oh, you’d love to be there too! Bride Ashlee had always dreamt her wedding in a simplistic boho theme, featuring a plethora of greenery, with ferns all around. Queue in Ashlee and Seamus’s day in beautiful San Luis Obispo, California.
Bring on the ferns, white feathery pampas grass and white roses. Antique wooden fixtures hung from the ceiling enchanted the scene, as string lights brought a sparkle to all. Ashlee glowed in a Tara Lauren form-fitting gown, accented by her beautiful maids in assorted styled of neutral colored, as the groom and his men were dashing in navy suits. Ashlee wore a detachable lace top over her dress for the ceremony, giving her two different wedding day looks once the reception took place. Her custom-made veil designed by West Coast Couture completed her bohemian look.
Memories were made all around throughout the day, as Ashlee had stitched notes into her father’s tie and kerchief, making her first look with dad extra special. Don’t miss the first look with her bridesmaids either, as they anxiously awaiting their first glimpse of their beautiful bride of the day.
The ceremony was set overlooking a creek, woven between flowing vineyards and swaying willow trees. Bride and groom proclaimed their love through their personally written vows beneath a beautifully unique wooden triangular arch, garnished with greenery and white feathers for a dreamy setting.
The newlyweds celebrated their first dance together to Ellie Goulding’s “Your Song”. Bride and groom claim this as their song for a few years – starting when they were in an international long-distance relationship, while Ashlee was studying abroad in Barcelona. Polaroid cameras gave guests the chance to capture moments of the evening. Out of this world, amazing Moscow Mule escort display created by Lovelyfest directed guests to their dinner seats. Who doesn’t want to walk to their seat, personalized Moscow Mule copper mug in hand?
Ashlee had always envisioned long wooden farm tables so their guests could eat family style dinner – so farm-style wooden tables there were! Fun and funky guest lounges invited guests to feel comfortable in a posh atmosphere when they took a break from dancing. Custom porch-swing style dessert display created by Avenue Twelve Rentals featured options from black pepper macaroons, to funfetti cupcakes, to rice krispy treats. Guests took their pick from the sweets and enjoyed the view while they were there!

All in all, what Ashlee and Seamus remember most from their beautiful day is walking around seeing everyone with smiles on their faces, having a good time, laughing and dancing. That was their goal, and it is a goal achieved. The newlyweds started their adventure in Australia for their honeymoon, where they rented a camper and drove down the coast to Byron Bay. As fits with Ashlee’s boho wedding vision, they didn’t plan much beforehand and made their itinerary on the go. May Ashlee and Seamus’s love story continue to be a lovely adventure.
