Bold Blue and Orange Wedding at San Diego Zoo Safari Park

Molly & Dan Wedding

So fittingly coined “wild love”, Molly and Dan’s wedding at San Diego Zoo Safari Park planned by San Diego wedding planner and vendor guide member Nicole George Event Planning & Design hits all the checkmarks for a destination that every guest would love to attend, and it’s easy to see why! This Jurassic-chic wedding is filled with bold colors + modern details that we can’t stop pinning.

Molly and Dan have friends and family all over the United States, so they knew that no matter where they held their wedding, people were going to have to travel. With that in mind, the couple wanted to make sure the destination was beautiful, unique and would offer an experience unlike any other. This led them to booking a “Wild Wedding” at The San Diego Zoo Safari Park. Not only did the Safari Park give them
the opportunity to get married in a variety of breathtaking locations throughout the park, but they were also able to throw a first class reception in the tiger trail longhouse, with floor to ceiling windows that overlooked the zoo’s beautiful tigers. Molly and Dan also wanted to leave the formalities of most traditional weddings behind and create more of a giant party vibe that reflected their personalities instead.

With the help of Nicole George Event Planning and Design, an amazing team of vendors and the support of the staff at the Safari Park, their wedding dreams became a reality. For Molly, growing up she always dreamed about what her actual wedding day would look and feel like, but the actual day was even better than she could have ever imagined. From the absolutely breathtaking flowers curated by Bloom Babes designs, to the amazing locations for both the ceremony and reception
at the Safari Park and the delicious food stations, there was nothing she would have changed. And Drew from Songstruck DJ, made sure the dance floor was rocking all night long. The couple even decided to have a private animal encounter for their guests. I mean, how many people can say they had a Cheetah as one of their wedding guests? This wedding was seriously one for the books, and Molly and Dan cannot count the number of guests who told them that it was, “the best wedding they had ever attended.

Molly & Dan Wedding

From Nicole George Event Planning & Design:
Eclectic meets eccentric, Dan and Molly’s wedding was the quintessential part with a side of wedding! These two producers from Los Angeles chose the San Diego Safari Park as their venue because of its unique and fun quirks that would mesh with their equally unconventional personalities. It was refreshing to work with a couple who made each and every decision to fit with who they were as a couple and what they did and didn’t want their wedding to be. Their musts included welcome cocktails (with a picture of their pup on the glass of course!), desserts from their favorite bakery (Susie Cakes), an eclectic music selection (including their processional and recessional music featuring film scores like Star Wars and Jurassic Park – fitting for the Safari Park is it not?), an animal encounter to entertain guests, and food stations featuring their favorites (heck yes for tacos!). Despite that these two had to completely change their outdoor wedding to an inside party within 24 hours due to heavy rain, these two took the day with stride, taking the opportunity to have fun every single minute. The best part is that we removed any fluff” that you typically see with weddings as they wanted to enjoy their guests in the best way they knew how to throw an epic party!
