Free-spirited Costa Blanca Wedding with a Doughnut Display To Steal Your Heart
This free-spirited Costa Blanca wedding gripped us right from the enchanting pergola beneath which Ana + Jose got hitched. Earth tones and gold leaf have never looked so captivating, and we’re pretty sure this bride is a goddess with her impeccable fashion statement. Botanical details and distinctive rattan touches are dotted throughout, but believe us when we say the decked out doughnut display steals the show. Let this images from Óscar Guilén transport you to somewhere a little bit warmer today, and prepare to be inspired!
From the bride, Ana: We wanted to get married in October 2017. We were sure to celebrate that day in a special place, where we could hold a ceremony, a good meal and a big party surrounded by our family and friends. The first thing we did was look for the celebration site. The first and only place we visited was Jardines de Abril, located in San Juan de Alicante (Alicante, Spain). We met Isabel, general coordinator, who, with an exquisite treatment, showed us the different spaces of the estate. We were amazed by its varied and impressive vegetation, with its hundred-year-old ficus and its pergola. This place was just perfect.
The next step was to seek help to organize the wedding as we had dreamed. After an intense search, we fell in love with Paloma Cruz Eventos’s work. We immediately contacted them. It took only a few minutes for us to realize we loved their exquisite and meticulous working style and we were the perfect match. All this was key to begin organizing the wedding.
To immortalize every moment of that special day, we chose Óscar Guillén as our photographer and Older García as videographers, who did an impeccable job. They suppressed the nerves of that day thanks to their naturalness, kindness and empathy. Without a doubt, it was wonderful to work with them.
The place we chose to celebrate the civil ceremony was the romantic pergola of the estate. First, Jose entered with his mother at one end of the pergola as “Can’t Help Falling in Love” by the unforgettable Elvis Presley played in the background. Next, at the other end of the pergola, I entered with my father while “Moon River” by Andy Williams played. We joined together in the center of the pergola to start the ceremony, led by our closest friends.
We wanted a natural decoration, autumnal colors and lots of green vegetation. The decoration of the place was truly impressive thanks to El Jardín del Cabo’s work. They understood our idea immediately. The guests’s chairs were decorated with bouquets of green leaves and the altar with vases, candles, wooden trunks and lanterns. They also made the bride’s bouquet. We have no words to describe it. You only have to see the photos. Amazing! At the end of the ceremony, the guests moved to another area of the estate to enjoy a cocktail, served by the catering Murri and entertained by the The Crooners’s live music. A glamorous combination. The meal was outdoors and under the shade of the ficus. Instead of wedding cake we decided to put a varied dessert table and a panel of different flavor donuts, Caperucita Cupcakes’s work. Not only was the decoration of the table impressive, but the taste of the sweets was a sensation never experienced before. Afterwards, we all enjoyed a great party until midnight.
A very special guest, our dog Coco, was yet to arrive – a complete surprise for me! Jose made a humorous video that showed the anecdotes and difficulties that Coco had had to get to the wedding. He appeared very elegant, with a red bow tie. What fun! This day would not have been possible without the Paloma Cruz Eventos’ organization. Absolutely everything was perfect and reflected the excellent work done by all of them. We did not have to worry about anything, we just had to enjoy this day. It was an unforgettable day for us. We will always be grateful.
