* Alabaster Caverns is within walking distance. Caves are open for tours 363 days a year (they close on Christmas Day and Thanksgiving Day) cave tours run every hour on the hour from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Alabaster Caverns is the largest gypsum cave in the World open to the public. Massive boulders of Alabaster are seen here in many varied colors - pink - white and even a rare black. The State Park has 200 acres of land which surround Cedar Canyon Lodge. They have 20 campsites and shower facilities and a limited number of RV hookups with service for RV's. They also offer wild caving, nature trails, a gift shop and playground.
* Boiling Springs State Park is located about 20 minutes from the Lodge. They have a swimming pool, campgrounds, a golf course and large park.
* Little Sahara State Park is within an hour's drive from the Lodge. They have 1450 acres of sand dunes for recreational use. Little Sahara offers the perfect playground for off-road vehicle enthusiasts, mixed in with some fascinating history.
* Great Salt Plains are located 55 miles to the West of Cedar Canyon Lodge and Stables Cafe & Cantina. The lake consists of 8700 surface acres and sits in a basin bordered by salt plains on the west with red shale bluffs and sandy beaches nearer the dam. The Great Salt Plains State Park is the only place in the World where people can come to collect hourglass shaped Selenite Crystals which form just below the salt crusted surface of the salt flats.
* Cowtown "Freedom, Oklahoma" is located 6 miles North of Cedar Canyon Lodge & Stables Cafe & Cantina. It features western store fronts and a down home atmosphere. Freedom has as a bank, hardware, Coop, post office, town hall, nice park, several churches, a handful of restaurants, gas station and grocery store, and a school with grades from kindergarten to 12th grade. Freedom is well known for it's old time open rodeo which is held each year on the third weekend of August.
* Cedar Canyon Lodge & Stables Cafe & Cantina's guests are welcome to bring their own horses to enjoy riding the 40 acres of land surrounding the Lodge. Horses can be stalled overnight in open pens at the Rodeo Arena on the Lodge property for a fee of $15 per horse per night. We are presently offering weekend trail rides with a local guide. Contact the lodge to make arrangements.
* Hunting and Fishing are prevelant in the area. Guests are recommended to contact local hunting and fishing guides to accomodate them Cedar Canyon Lodge and Stables Cafe & Cantina no longer provide hunting and fishing packages we can, however, refer you to local guides for hunting activities.
* From time to time special bull riding and rodeo events will be held at the rodeo arena on the property. There are numerous rodeo animals to observe at the arena and on surrounding lands as the area is well known for raising rough stock for rodeo.
* Future plans at Cedar Canyon Lodge & Stables Cafe & Cantina include holding a variety of musical concerts and rodeo events at the Lodge. Guests will need to inquire as to these type of activities at the time they check into the Lodge.
* Hiking, caving, rock climbing, rock hounding, bird watching, artifact searching, many activities to keep Guests busy.
